Tanzania's fourth-largest park. Elephant herds, lion prides, giraffe, buffalo. A day-trip's reach from the ferry.
Mikumi National Park is Tanzania’s fourth-largest national park, and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam. Elephant herds, lion prides, giraffe, buffalo, hippo, and a strong birdlife presence. We take the morning ferry across, meet our safari Land Cruiser, and drive into the Mkata floodplain for a full game drive.
Runs year-round, though we may reshuffle the order depending on wind, tide, and crowds. If you want something even quieter, ask about our off-peak versions — same places, fewer other boats.
